Tinto Palm Springs

Over the weekend my husband and I went to Palm Springs as an early anniversary getaway- today we are celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Amazing that it's been 1 year! We stayed at the Riviera and ventured out for meals and exploration. The Saguaro is definitely the most colorful thing to hit the desert probably ever. You can't miss this hotel when driving by with the rainbow colored rooms it's 100% cheery! The lobby of the hotel is flanked with bright panels and is home to two restaurants by Iron Chef, Jose Garces. El Jefe is a hip taco shop and Tinto is a modern tapas playground. Being unable to resist Jamon Serrano, we had to eat at Tinto. We ate on the patio in the middle of the colorful center of the hotel. The whole menu looked great and we were really happy with the dishes we tried and the standout were the moules frites and the pork belly with apple canape. When I think of Palm Springs restaurants I'm usually left wanting a little more, but Tinto really hit the nail on the head for what this area needs!

white sangria y cerveza
serrano wrapped figs
endless love for jamon serrano, accompanied by a potato salad and crostini

chicken and grape skewers with chikpea puree and truffle jus

artichokes with pappardelle
mussels in a chorizo broth with fries and lemon aioli
pork belly with apple canapes
wild mushrooms
Have you been to Tinto? What did you think? Do you have any other favorite places to eat in the desert?
