Over the weekend I was looking to make something delicious and off the beaten path from our normal recipe rotation. The Two Dudes One Pan cookbook by Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook is one of my favorites for fairly simple, but flavor driven meals. I settled on a garlic shrimp recipe and it was so amazing that I may or may not have been licking up the sauce. Don't judge me!
The shopping list for this recipe is pretty minimal and the recipe itself is easy to execute. All you need is garlic (10 cloves), shrimp (we did a pound for 2 people), cilantro, limes, red pepper flakes, and olive oil. Marinade the shrimp with garlic and olive oil for 30 min- an hour. Sautee shrimp for a few minutes until it's pink and slightly curled, remove from pan. Garnish with cilantro, red pepper flakes, and limes- serve. Seriously this recipe has so much flavor and I can't wait to make it again.

We also threw together a quick watermelon salad with feta, arugula, and mint.
Mission for a dinner with a little more excitement than our normal fare: ACCOMPLISHED! Have you tried any new recipes lately that really impressed you?
