Snackage, Recapped.

Last week I wrote about Super Bowl snacks and let me tell you, my expectations were exceeded and it's really only fair that I tell you about the snacks my friends K & L put out for their guests. For me, the star of the show was this buffalo chicken dip that isn't nearly as sinful as it sounds. The recipe is from Hungry Girl and can be found here.

This was only about half the spread, this doesn't include the guacamole, other dips, sausages, hot dogs, and Mrs. Field's cookies that graced us with their presence. What were you snacking on for game day? Did you try any new recipes that we should know about?

Wu Fever

There are some things that are a little shameful to discuss. Things that should only be talked about behind closed doors. A level of taboo that I should refrain from sharing in such a public forum, but for you my dears, I am willing to fully disclose what I did on Sunday morning. Ladies, it's true- I was in line for Jason Wu at Target. I woke up early to run to the loo and couldn't fall back asleep and I resigned that I would indeed by headed out to Target for the 8am opening. There are a few Targets nearby and I drove up to one and saw a line of maybe 75 people and decided the other Target had to be a better idea. WRONG! I should have stayed at Target #1, but I hoped in line at Target #2. I would be lying if I said there were only 20 people in line. There were about 100. I thought about leaving after I was in line for about 30 minutes, but I figured I had already committed to this, so I might as well wait it out. I waited for almost 2 hours to get inside. We were reassured that there were plenty of sizes and styles remaining so it seemed worthwhile. I was disappointed that the 2 dresses I really liked were sold out in my size. I was able to grab 3 tops and 1 for a friend. No scarves or bags remained. Lots of the weird cat designs were still there, as expected.  For today, here's a round up of Wu goodies!

I can't believe that I did this and I hope I get a lot of wonderful outfits from my new J.Wu tops. Did anyone else brave these crowds? Please console me and tell me SOMEONE else was crazy enough to do this! Were you able to order anything online?

Super Bowl= Super Snacks

If you're like me, you don't really care about football, but you do like a good game day! It's a day to wear something comfortable, drink some beer, hang out with friends, and relax! For Super Bowl this year, we are going to a small gathering at friend's new apartment. While the guys sit in front of the TV screaming and doing all those silly football things guys (and some girls) do, I look forward to hanging out with the girls, watching commercials, and most of all, snacking on football treats! I'm hoping there's some guacamole, something smoothered in wing sauce, an onion dip, and of course something sweet. You have to check out the "Slutty Brownie" down below- it's layers of chocolate chip cookie, brownie, and oreos- HEAVEN! I've been noticing some rather sinfully bites and for this Friday, it only seems appropriate to take a peak at the finger foods we hope to be eating this Super Bowl Sunday!

I've been to Eva for brunch and have long been looking forward to returning for dinner. I went with a girlfriend for Dine LA this year and we were treated to a seriously special meal. I spent a lot of time in this neighborhood after going to BLD earlier in the week. I have to admit, I can't complain. There are some pretty wonderful restaurants in this area- Angelini Osteria, El Coyote (you know you love it!), Milk, Terroni. Eva is run by Jonathan Gold's brother, Mark Gold, and as you'd expect, the food is well executed and nothing short of complete food heaven. The coddled egg starter I had is easily one of the best things I've eaten in quite some time. This is the perfect place for a date, girl's night, a dinner with your parents, and let's not forget- Sunday brunch.

Lately Loving: Orgasm

Hey you guys, it's not what you think! I'm talking about Nars Orgasm blush and it's my all time favorite blush.  Nars makes some amazing products, especially their blushes with saucy names like g-spot, deep throat, and sex appeal, but don't be fooled by these raunchy names, the colors are gorgeous and this is a high quality product.

Orgasm comes in a powder compact or as "The Multiple"- a cream stick that you can use as blush, a lip color, or an eye shadow. I first bought it as the powder compact and I wear it over my Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer to give it an extra glow. Orgasm is a peachy pink with a subtle gold shimmer and it flatters just about every skin tone. After a very sad drop on the bathroom tile, the powder blush in the compact shattered a bit, but it's still usable. In a panic, I bought The Multiple. This goes on a little more sheer, but it's just as beautiful. There is also an Orgasm Illuminator that you can add anywhere for an extra boost of orgasmic beauty- or if you're really feeling saucy, check out the super orgasm!
